TOMTOMRN331 Posted December 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2015 Looking at changing our room category and just curious if starboard or port had preferential views? Sea days I know it doesn't matter. Does the ship dock in the same orientation each time? Mostly interested when we are docked in Nassau as we are staying on ship. Thanks in advance Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Demonyte Posted December 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2015 Does the ship dock in the same orientation each time? No. The orientation always depends on several factors like weather, maintenance needs, crew training needs (mandatory lifeboat testing/drills), etc.
Debala715 Posted December 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2015 The captain turned the ship around when we docked in Nassau last week and the port side of the ship ended up facing the dock, but that was because we were in the last slip. In St. Thomas we tendered and in Tortola the starboard side was next to pier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

cb at sea Posted December 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2015 You won't tender in St. Thomas
Debala715 Posted December 1, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2015 You won't tender in St. Thomas Well, since we just tendered in St. Thomas aboard the Spirit, you really can't say that you won't. It all depends on how many ships are in port on that day. The day we were there, which was Wednesday, November 25th, we were one of 6 six ships, so we were tendered. Tyskie Posted December 2, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 2, 2015 I didn't know NCL tendered in St Thomas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk We're one of 4 ships scheduled for STT so fingers crossed we won't be tendering. I was surprised too but given the number of ships in port that day (11/25), totally understand. :)
