Check-in at MIA for cruise next day out of San Juan

Hello Everyone,

Wondering if the collective wisdom of the board can help me out. According to the Miami Airport website, there are check-in desks for Celebrity Cruises in two locations at the airport. Our cruise leaves out of San Juan; but to get there, we are connecting at MIA. We have an almost 5 hour lay-over so I was wondering if it would be possible at all to get the check-in formalities for the cruise taken care of during this time.

Potential problems I can see are;

- Cruise not leaving from Miami or Fort Lauderdale;

- Cruise leaving the next day.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated. I will also try to report back here with my experiences. Personally I'd rather rent a car and do some exploring; but my travel companions aren't very keen on leaving the airport. At least the Admirals Club stocks free booze :cool:

Thank you.

E

There are situations where you can drop luggage at airports - Anchorage if taking a Celebrity shuttle to Seward for example - but checkin need to be done at the port. Cannot imagine you could checkin in Miami for a San Juan cruise.

Enjoy the Admirals club!
