Getting from terminal 18 to 22; large group

Once we went from Carnival to Carnival and we had an escort who escorted us from one ship to the next but they were next to each other.

Next time we went from Carnival to RCCL. Someone from Carnival took us off the ship and directly to a cab. But the cost was $25 to get from one ship to next. I think he took us the long way.

Checked by email and in person recently with RC and Celebrity and they don't do it any longer but good to k now for next time; taxi's don't mind doing it as they are already in the complex so easy to get back in line for next customer.

Just came back from a cruise in Port Everglades; 10 min. walk ; talk to taxi drivers; they have no problem taking you from one terminal to other; standard fee : $10.plus tip for a cab that can take 3 or get a van that can take 6. Cheaper than any shuttle company I contacted. Thanks for all your advice and help.

Nice of you to come back and fill us in since this is a fairly frequent question on the Florida Departure Board. Hope you all had a wonderful time!

It occurs to me that Port Everglades DOES have shuttles that go from the port to the port's parking garages and then to distant terminals. Perhaps the answer here is to go to a parking garage near terminal 18 and then take another shuttle to terminal 22. It looks to me like you want to take a shuttle to the Midpoint Parking Garage, then take a shuttle from the Midpoint Parking Garage to Terminal 22. My suggestion is that you call the port and confirm this. This is what the port's website says:

"Midport Parking Garage

The 2,000-space Midport garage services:

Cruise Terminals 19, 21, 22/24, 25, 26, 27 and 29

Entrance: Take I-595 east straight into the Port. Continue heading east to the garage on the left side of the street.

If that is too much rigamarole for your group, then you may as well take a taxi. Typical fares to the Airport are $16.00 to $20 including tip, so I would give the driver $20 per couple - that should keep him very happy to make this short trip. While more expensive, it will at least be very convenient.

Midport Surface Lots

Cruise Terminal 18 has its own 600-space surface parking lot adjacent to the terminal.

Parking Lot #19 is a 400-space surface parking lot located between Cruise Terminals 18 and 19 and is used when the parking lot at Cruise Terminal 18 and the Midport Garage are full. The entrance is on SE 19th Street. "

First, not the port doesn't shuttle passengers to the various parking facilities. The only time this happens is if, for example, you board a Princess ship at terminal 2 and are parked in the Northport Garage and the ship returns to a midport terminal, they will shuttle you back to the Northport garage, and I believe it's the cruise line that provides this service.
