bb2 Posted December 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2015 Hello, Is it better to take a bus or cab for 4 people from the Carnival pier to Paradise Beach. Any ideas on cost for both? Thanks so much.
JohninDC Posted December 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2015 Never heard of a bus going to PB or any of the other nearby beach clubs? Taxi fare, covering up to 4 passengers in the cab, should be about $17 each way. There will be a board with fares to popular tourist spots near the cab line for your pier - there are 3 piers on Coz so be sure you know which one to go back to! Rare crewsweeper Posted December 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2015 John's correct. While there's a public bus service that operates in San Miguel, the town, it doesn't go to the western beaches or hotels. And if you're docked downtown you can walk to any nearby beach clubs and shopping.
JohninDC Posted December 11, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2015 John's correct. Why can't I ever get my wife to say that? :o
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 11, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2015 Why can't I ever get my wife to say that? :o Neither can I:D. That's because our wives consider themselves our "better half" and by married women's logic, a lesser can never be right:eek::D:rolleyes:
OCruisers Posted December 11, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 11, 2015 A taxi is always the easiest and fastest way! :D
beauty1492 Posted December 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 11, 2015 Make sure your confirm your price before getting into the taxi. We had a lot of problems in Oct. Yes there is a board with prices but our driver was ....to be kind ..confused about price. We had to demand correct price. then come back the taxi was picking up us and 2 other couples and want to charge us 25 a piece. We told him no no no! I sure the other couples would / might have just paid it. but we complain and magically the price went down. to 19 so we said OK but than no tip was given. Mirrasi Posted March 2, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2016 I have had the same issue in Cozumel. THEN, he started falling asleep at the wheel. Scared the heck out of me and totally put me off Cozumel. I am hoping for a better experience this next time around. :( Any beaches nearby where I can avoid their taxis? JohninDC Posted March 3, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 3, 2016 Is tipping customary for these cab rides? Tipping is up to you - I always tip cab drivers who provide good service.
Nitemare Posted March 3, 2016 #11 Share Posted March 3, 2016 Thank you. We haven't been to Mexico in a long time, in some countries there's no tipping so I wanted to make sure.
