Nice review. You explained things very well and related them to items that matter to you.

I definitely agree in taking the Central Park horticultural tour and as you noted it may be listed for an hour but it may take up to two hours. The Chief horticulturist on the Oasis is the guy that took the initial plans and adapted them once the ship went to sea. Some things were no fault of the initial designers, like palm trees being unacceptable by appropriate authorities after they were installed. He had to experiment to get everything to look as good as it does now.

The chief horticulturist gives the tour, unless he is on break, or breaking in a new ship. He obviously loves his job and gives tidbits of information about how things have evolved. I am not a "plant" person, but I think this was two hours well spent.

Thanks for the great review. Is the Solarium larger than that of other ships, such as The Silhouette?

Yes! Definitely bigger and natural air, though it can get stuffy if you can't find a lounger that catches the breeze!

Our Compass had it listed from.930-10am. He immediately told us it was impossible to do it in 30 mins. :-) it was well worth the time. He really does love his job.

Thanks for the great review. Sounds great aside from you getting sick (and the constant door slamming). So sorry about that.

You commented that you had breakfast a few times in the Solarium. Do you remember what they served?
