Elusive_Cruiser Posted December 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2015 I was very happy to see some of the changes in the 2018 Caribbean itineraries. Just booked the one and only 12-night offering which includes an overnight in San Juan! Yeah! My favorite port (hopefully porting in Old San Juan, not the cruise port). I was one of those unhappy fans when Celebrity changed our 2016 cruise and deleted Dominica and added overnight in St. Martin. I'm surprised that there has not been any feedback from you seasoned cc'ers - they've moved ships around, changed up a few things. Not bad stuff, in my estimation. Also was surprised that our friends, who have no Celebrity loyalty, were able to go online and book the same cruise, when this was supposed to be the time frame prior to release to the general public? Rare chemmo Posted December 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2015 I'm another happy cruiser having found a great itinerary in Asia. Overnights in Hong Kong, Haylong Bay and Singapore. Perfect timing to celebrate a special birthday on board!

I think the only "preferential" thing that Captain's Club members get is email notification that itineraries are published. The general public has to guess. To think that X's IT dept could figure out how to only make itineraries available to CC members for 3 days enforce the general public is giving them way too much credit. You still can't book rooms on some of the itineraries yet..get the message "Oops we're sold out of those room types", when you know darn well the room availability just hasn't been loaded yet. KidCruze Posted December 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 17, 2015 I like the new itineraries out of San Juan. I may book one of those for January 2018. I'm waiting to see what Princess offers for those same weeks.
MustBCruzn Posted December 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 17, 2015 I agree, I like the changes in the Caribbean. A group of us have booked the 11-night Reflection cruise that overnights in Aruba. Can't wait...but so far away! :D

You might want to have your friends check to make sure they booked the correct cruise (year) if it was yesterday or earlier. I think all of us had to call to book any of the new cruises. Every time I looked on line when I tried to look at the details the website said no cabins were available. Many people said they noticed the same thing. I like that Bonaire is still in for most of the 14 day cruises and Dominica is included on some of the cruises along with the overnights. ROYALBOY Posted January 10, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 10, 2016 Hello. I see that Caribbean 2018 only goes through April... Any idea when the late year itineraries come online?
jayoldschool Posted January 10, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 10, 2016 Just remember... Celebrity can drop any of those ports any time they want... and given their history lately, I wouldn't ever book strictly on the hopes of seeing a particular place. I am CC's member and I never receive any notice of new schedules, I always seem to find out after the fact on Cruise Critic.
