MTdreaming Posted December 29, 2015 #26 Share Posted December 29, 2015 Ginger capsules and candied ginger (penzeys has the tastiest).. they have helped me a lot and I shared with my SIL on a recent cruise and relieved her as well. I take the capsules in the morning and bring a small amount of the candy with me to chew if things seem a bit queasy. I also suffer from post cruise movement sensation.. which for me can last for a 6 weeks or more.

zqvol Posted December 30, 2015 #28 Share Posted December 30, 2015 I do take Bonine. Some take Dramamine. Similar Product. Others take ginger tablets. There is the patch that requires a prescription from your physician. When it comes to Bonine I am not sure how many you take. We take one other than two over a 24 hour period. Keith Not similar at all. Completely different meds, and different mechanisms.
BeagleOne Posted December 30, 2015 #29 Share Posted December 30, 2015 I've used the patch many times with no adverse effects, not even dry mouth. Cutting any medication patch in half is not a good idea. There is no guarantee that the medication is evenly spread across the patch so there is no way to tell what dose the person is actually getting. CPT Trips Posted December 30, 2015 #30 Share Posted December 30, 2015 The scop patch has a reservoir filled with liquid medication. When it is cut, it empties. There is nothing in the reservoir to get absorbed. Nasty results can ensue depending on what happens to the spillage.
