wrigley80 Posted January 8, 2016 Author #251 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Sorry, I couldn't post as a pic from my phone but hopefully you'll be able to see this and get a chuckle out of it. Thanks for posting this. I was able to find it. And I definitely got a giggle out of it that it bothered her so bad that she had to wait 3 weeks after the cruise to make a comment. I swear if you don't laugh at people sometimes...you will cry :p :)
wrigley80 Posted January 8, 2016 Author #252 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Hahaha! To be fair Pedro was dressed up too :) Yes he was. He had shoes and a shirt with his bowtie :p I haven't been on Carnivals board in a while as I don't have anything booked. I have always enjoyed your reviews! I am sad to hear of your dad passing! I know how close you guys were. I'm glad you decided to go on this cruise as I'm sure that's what he would have wanted! Take care! Danielle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thank you so much. bluerose1515 Posted January 8, 2016 #253 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Oh yeah I know he was with me on this cruise. Maybe not in the sense that I wanted him there but he was there with me every step of the way.Gotta support the Irish. I love Notre Dame Football. My dad and I saw them play in the 2014 season in South Bend....it was an amazing experience I'm so glad you got to experience that with your father. I'm from the Notre Dame area and it really is a different and fun time. Always recommend people from out of town to check out campus and anything that might be going on. noidea389 Posted January 8, 2016 #254 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Brianna, Thank you so much for doing another great review! You made this preggo cry in the first 2 posts, and I was hooked! As many others have said, you and your dad had an amazing bond and it showed! My husband and I just booked this same cruise in 2 weeks, so I'm crazily looking at suggestions and what not. This cruise will be a little bit different from the rest, as I'll be 20 weeks pregnant by then, but that doesn't change from being on a ship! I'll be checking back to read the rest, as this is great timing for our cruise! Thank you!

daniella1279 Posted January 9, 2016 #256 Share Posted January 9, 2016 So after we ordered dinner...I noticed the Junior Hostess who was seating fellow passengers. I knew she looked familiar so I asked her to come over to our table. I remembered her from a cruise that my dad and I were on together. We met Jerminka on the Carnival Imagination in December 2013. Once she got over to the table she recognized me by name. She asked where my dad was so I had to explain to her what happened....she was so sweet. My dad really liked her on the Imagination because she was so nice. She gave me a big hug. It was so nice to see her again Me and Jerminka. She was from Romania Cream of Broccoli soup The first night I ordered the Flat Iron Steak as a tribute to my dad. That was usually the only thing that he ever ordered in the MDR Strawberry Cheesecake for dessert Oh she is very nice! I think I sailed with her in the Sunshine and maybe another boat. Seeing a game isn't just for the football...it is so much about the experience that goes along with everything leading up to the game.....the pep rally, the parade of players, the trumpets playing the Notre Dame Fight song. Seeing the campus in the fall is an experience in itself as well

I didn't want to do that but I'm sure with being pregnant you can truly appreciate the bond that a parent has with their child. The bond that I shared with my dad was more than just a father and daughter bond....he was definitely my best friend. You will love it...the Elation is a great ship. Even with pregnant I'm sure you will have a great time. Enjoy every minute cause it may be your last one for awhile ;) :)

wrigley80 Posted January 9, 2016 Author #260 Share Posted January 9, 2016 Oh she is very nice! I think I sailed with her in the Sunshine and maybe another boat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk She is such a nice person. It is people like her why I continue to cruise with Carnival. She leaves such a lasting impression on you the first time and then they remember you by name the second time around. I am still amazed at how they do that....I mean they see thousands of new passengers every week but you remember my name from 2 years ago. I guess I must have one of those memorable faces :D :D
wrigley80 Posted January 9, 2016 Author #261 Share Posted January 9, 2016 OK who is ready for some pictures.... Our time at Mr. Sanchos had come to an end and it was time to leave. Here's where the events get a little fuzzy. I can neither confirm nor deny on whether or not I fell down in the sand  hehehehehe. Supposedly there is video evidence......hahahaha. I am just going to leave that to the imagination Once we got in the taxis and headed back to the port I headed back to the ship....or so I've been told :p The Carnival Paradise had already pulled out of port Everyone needs to take a Pedicab Selfie My pedicab chauffeur Miguel
wrigley80 Posted January 9, 2016 Author #262 Share Posted January 9, 2016 It was a busy day in Cozumel but despite 5 ships in port it didn't feel busy at Mr. Sanchos So once I got back onboard I headed back to our cabin to shower and lay down for awhile....I needed to rest ;) :D We got back onboard about 3:30 But guess who was up and headed to dinner at 6:30....this girl....hehe Laura could not believe her eyes when she saw me sitting at the Atrium Bar waiting on everyone to show up for dinner. Surprise I'm here....hehehe Pedro didn't make it to dinner tonight. He was still drying out from his swimming adventure at Mr. Sanchos
wrigley80 Posted January 9, 2016 Author #263 Share Posted January 9, 2016 I was kinda hungry tonight at dinner because I didn't eat much at Mr. Sanchos despite the all-inclusive package that we had ;) One of my favorite dinners in the MDR....the chicken alfredo

wrigley80 Posted January 9, 2016 Author #265 Share Posted January 9, 2016 So after dinner we headed up to the Lido Deck tonight to watch the Mexican Fiesta Deck party. That is always fun. We stayed for about an hour and then we decided to head back to the cabin to relax and get ready for bed. I was pooped from our day at Mr. Sanchos and may have still been trying to work my way through the Green Monsters  :D So that ends day #3 - Cozumel day onboard.....next up is our day in Progreso, Mexico

eastcoastbaby Posted January 11, 2016 #270 Share Posted January 11, 2016 Reading your review is making me itch for my next cruise. I might book the Jan 9th cruise on the Elation.. (Yes, I made a countdown for it even if I'm not booked, yet) I made a post on Facebook and my brother, his bf want to go and other family members are looking into it as well.. I might just end up with my own crew lol :) thanks for another great review :)
wrigley80 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #271 Share Posted January 12, 2016 The morning of Progreso, Mexico had arrived....oh yay  Progreso is a waste of a port in my opinion. Why not go to Costa Maya more often?? Oh well that's just me. We all decided to meet up in the Atrium at 11:00 am and decide what we wanted to do. So some decided to get off the ship while others including myself decided to stay onboard and enjoy a relaxing day. This is why Port Days where ya stay onboard are nice. It feels like you have the whole ship to yourself Progreso is very much like Freeport, Bahamas in that it is an industrial port I walked out on Lido and saw that Marky and Laura were enjoying the hot tub all to themselves Nobody in the pool either....Marky said the water was cold

wrigley80 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #273 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Josh and Jordin wanted a "noodle bowl" from Mongolian Wok. I had never ate there on any of my past cruises. This was Josh's He brought me one back to try with noodles, chicken, green beans, and corn, with some kind of pepper sauce. It was very good. I can't believe that I had never tried this before The crew member working up top on the water slide platform looked real busy :p Pedro was enjoying his day in the sun
wrigley80 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #274 Share Posted January 12, 2016 I went to the bathroom on Lido and when I came out I looked up and saw this out the porthole window in the bathroom....I thought this was pretty cool
wrigley80 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #275 Share Posted January 12, 2016 I went outside on Deck 10 Lido to watch the sunset and watch our sail-away from Progreso. It was going to be a beautiful sunset and as I was sitting there I couldn't help but think of my dad and how much I was missing him onboard with me. It was truly the one moment of the cruise where I felt like I could feel him with me. I sat up there just watching the sun creep ever so slowly behind the clouds. I sat there for what seemed like forever but I wanted to hold onto that moment.
