Oh my Josh is awesome and sooo funny! I was impressed that he seemed to be feeling so well from the night before but then the dance - it was great! I love looking for him in your pics with his mouth open in the background....

Looking forward to your Cozumel day!

Been reading your review for awhile now and I love every minute of it! You and your KREWE are so awesome and look like so much fun to hang out with! Hopefully, one day we can join you. We have cruised out of NOLA that first week of December before, but it was on NCL. Looks like we may have to try it on Carnival sometime! :p

Yeah he is pretty great. Funny thing is I met Josh less than a year ago on the Carnival Breeze. We become instant friends and have been besties ever since. So it's true what they say that cruises really can bring you lasting friendships. Oh his dancing definitely had all of Lido Deck clapping and cheering for him....it was EPIC.

Thanks so much. You are welcome to join me and the KREWE anytime. We typically always cruise out of New Orleans the first week of December. In 2016 we are cruising on the Carnival Breeze out of Galveston on December 4th. Many of the people in the KREWE have never been on the Breeze or to the different ports that we are going to.

Great time by all!!

I LOVE the Atrium Bar, that is my favorite place to sit and have a few, great place to people watch!

So can I ask how you all met, sounds like fun with you all!

The atrium bar is always my favorite hang out spot. It is a great place to sit and mingle with new friends.

In the summer of 2013 I found a roll call group for our December cruise on the Carnival Sunshine. Me being the social butterfly that I am quickly got involved and started talking with new people. The instant connections and friendships with these people was amazing. Once we all met up on the cruise in December 2013 it was like we all knew each other and had been friends for years. So now every December (2013 on the Sunshine, 2014 on the Dream, 2015 on the Elation, 2016 on the Breeze, and it looks like April 2017 to Alaska). Some people have come and gone and we've added new people to the KREWE over the last couple years but we all continue to cruise together and that's all that matters. We have people in the KREWE from Illinois, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Washington, Arkansas, and even Canada

So who is ready for our KREWE day in Cozumel.....

We disembarked the ship early. We were off by 9:00 am. The KREWE was spending the day at Mr. Sanchos. We all reserved this months ago. It was gonna be a fun day

We were docked at the Puerta Maya pier with the Carnival Paradise and an Aida ship

As we walked through the Puerta Maya shopping area on our way to the Taxi stand all the shop owners were saying "Come in Pretty Lady. Come check out what I have inside for you."

Ummmmm no This Pretty Lady was ready to get her drink on at Mr. Sanchos :p

We decided to take a "before" picture because I figured that we wouldn't look like this when we left Mr. Sanchos. Our taxi ride from the Puerta Maya pier to Mr. Sanchos was $15.00 for the 5 of us.

At Mr. Sanchos we all chose (for obvious reasons) the All-Inclusive package. It was $55.00 per person and in my opinion it was worth every penny. I know I got my money's worth. There were two swim-up bars on the All-Inclusive side. The one behind us in this picture and then another one. The KREWE basically took over the second one. We pretty much had it all to ourselves.

Once you picked where you wanted to sit you were assigned a waiter. This waiter stayed with you for the whole day. We moved to be closer to the other swim-up bar/pool where the KREWE was. Our waiter, Edwin, followed us to the new table and continued to be our waiter. More to come on Edwin later.....

So my drink of choice at Mr. Sanchos was a Green Monster. It was very good but I can't remember what's in it. Maybe that's because I drank too many Green Monsters

Linda and Enrique. Enrique was our bartender at the swim-up bar. If you go to Mr. Sanchos be sure to look for Enrique. He was AMAZING. If your drink was half gone he was already giving you another one....it's Enrique's fault that I got drunk. His name tag said Enrique on one side and Fabio on the other. He said that as we drink more...he gets cuter and becomes a Fabio :p Works for me

Laura was wearing Pedro. Pedro forgot to get swimming lessons before we left for the cruise and he may have gotten waterlogged  Laura had her GoPro strapped to her head.

Brianna,

First let me start out by saying that I immensely enjoy all your previous reviews on cruises that you and your Dad had done. Upon seeing that you had posted a new review I was very excited to read until I hit the paragraph about his declining health. My deepest condolences on the loss of your father, best friend, and partner in crime. I, too, have a very close relationship with my Dad and will cherish it always.

Secondly, I LOVE your reviews! You (used to, maybe) be on another cruise page that I'm on, but now that I'm thinking back I don't recall seeing anything from you for a while now. Even though we don't have plans to do this ship or itinerary I just love your reviews that much that I had to read it! Once again, a great one thus far! I'm definitely missing New Orleans after reading this!!

Can't wait to read the rest!

Hi Brianna,

Never met you, but I've read many of your reviews and enjoyed them. So sorry to learn of the passing of your father! It was evident from your many reviews that you both had fun on your trips. Glad to read that you kept your plans to do this trip. Good friends like that can really make all the difference! Looking forward to more of your adventures!

After our bellies were full of GUMBO we headed to Chucks Bar in Addis, LA. Chucks is owned by my friend Linda. So you know what that means....free drinks ;)

I haven't been on Carnivals board in a while as I don't have anything booked. I have always enjoyed your reviews!

I am sad to hear of your dad passing! I know how close you guys were. I'm glad you decided to go on this cruise as I'm sure that's what he would have wanted!

Take care!

Hey have you be on the Freedom? We are on the Freedom in June. I'm a teacher so I can't really travel much during the school year :/

Yes I have been on the Freedom in March 2013 and somewhere here on Cruise Critic is my photo review from that cruise. If I can find it back I will post the link for you to check out. I cruised on the Freedom before all the 2.0 upgrades

Thank you so much. Yes my dad was truly my partner in crime. And it was that all the way up until he went into the hospital. I totally appreciate the relationship that you have with your dad. The relationship between a father and daughter is unlike any other.

I took a break from a lot of my cruising pages during my dad's declining health to focus on and helping him.

New Orleans is truly a city unlike any other. I will be back in New Orleans in 19 days. I am just counting down the days until I get to have GUMBO again

Oh yeah I know he was with me on this cruise. Maybe not in the sense that I wanted him there but he was there with me every step of the way.

Gotta support the Irish. I love Notre Dame Football. My dad and I saw them play in the 2014 season in South Bend....it was an amazing experience

Those Green Monsters look yummy!!

Kim

I wish I can remember what was in it. I will be back at Mr. Sanchos early next month. I will have to take a pic of the drink recipe before I have too many Green Monster drinks
