Trixmom Posted January 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2016 Who has sailed on NCL's Escape recently with their teenager? My question is, were they allowed in the pool without you being in the pool with them? I've heard a rumor that anyone under 18 is not allowed in the pool without an adult and I worry this would this mean that my group that includes 3 14 year olds, a 15 year old and a 17 year would run into issues. There will be a parent near the pool on the pool deck, just maybe not in the pool with them at all times. Thank you.

I never even see my teens during the day on cruises, except in passing. They use our pool when we're not home.
cb at sea Posted January 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2016 No...you do not need to be IN the pool with them. You just need to be responsible for their safety and behavior!
cymru cruiser Posted January 4, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2016 There are no signs around escapes post to suggest this. Also nothing saying in the dailies.

paulh84 Posted January 5, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2016 Cruise Critic's own gallery has pictures of the Adults Only signs posted at the main pool. Chatter on the FB page suggests that it is still enforced for the main pool also. http://gallery.cruisecritic.com/ships/norwegian-escape-691/main-pool-208722/pool--v10602307/ http://gallery.cruisecritic.com/ships/norwegian-escape-691/main-pool-208722/pool--v10602390/ http://gallery.cruisecritic.com/ships/norwegian-escape-691/main-pool-208722/pool--v10601984/
cymru cruiser Posted January 5, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2016 Did you sail recently? We were on the one night taster out of Southampton before she did her t.a. there were teenagers in the main pool then and no signage or info but it may have changed afterwards I guess. I did a full and detailed review but it's not on here because we were guests for being members of a U.K forum/ cruise booking site but happy to answer any questions if I can help. vacation44 Posted January 5, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2016 Just got off last Saturday and our group had four teenagers ages 13, 14, 16 & 17 and they were in the pool by themselves when they wanted to be in the pool which was not very often. They only stayed around that area to go down the slides for the most part.
