Electrical plug "splitter"

There are threads on taking extension cords and also power strips, but has anyone ever found just a simple splitter that works with the outlet on Carnival ships? I would rather not deal with cords and extra plugs that I don't need. Just a simple splitter to make one plug into 2 receptacles.

Thanks,

Bob

This is what I take, small.

By defination that is an extension cord . Any multiple outlets with a cord (no matter how short) is considered an extension cord.

Kamloops50, your picture didn't come through. Was it a pic of just a common splitter, or one that your have used on Carnival ships?

As many cruises as I have been on, I can't remember what the plug looks like, or if a regular splitter would work. :(

I got some cheap european converters to use. There are actually two plugs located at the desk in the cabin, one european one and on US one.

I actually got two different styles, one that just converts the european plug to 1 US plug (part of a larger set) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E0P2GLM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01, and one that converts it to 3 US plugs (although you can only really access two of them. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K7DYEHA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01

Whatever style you choose, just make sure it's does NOT have a surge protector in it. The difference in the way the ships are grounded by their steel hull is why surge protectors are banned, since they are a fire-hazard.
