We are only in Cozumel for the day by cruiseship, and would just like a nice beach with sea for swimming and loungers. Do not want kids entertainment. Not too far from cruise terminal, does anyone have any recommendations please.

Hi, thanks for reply, but we do not need all inclusive, we just would like a nice beach, where we can swim and snooze, may only be there for a few hours. But thank you and will make a note of Nachi Cocom for the future.

You might consider the Money Bar - no real beach as the focus is on snorkeling from the shore, but they do offer a sandy area with loungers for sunning/relaxing, nice views, good facilities, no admission fee, plus good food/drinks/service.

Taxi each way should be about $10+tip.

Yeah, Money Bar might be your best bet. It is rustic but really close to ships, good food, good waiters, and a beach area. You do need to buy something in order to use facilities, but it could be just bottled water if you want.

Then head south to Playa Palancar. It's a $25 each way taxi ride, but no admission and the service, food and drinks are good and the latter two reasonably priced. Palapas available for shade.

I'd definitely go to Palancar. Quiet, never been crowded during the 9 times I've been there. Good food and drinks and friendly staff.

We were there last week and went to Mr. Sanchos. $10 per person return, no entry charge on a la carte side as long as you buy a bit of food or drinks. Check them out on trip advisor. It was an excellent, relaxing beach day for us and our teens. If you go to the far left side of the a la carte side, super quiet.
