hazel80 Posted January 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2016 We are only in Cozumel for the day by cruiseship, and would just like a nice beach with sea for swimming and loungers. Do not want kids entertainment. Not too far from cruise terminal, does anyone have any recommendations please.

Travelling2Some Posted January 5, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2016 I second Nachi Cocom. They only take 100 guests per day, have none of the big inflatable toys that attract kids and emphasize on their website that those seeking a loud party atmosphere should look elsewhere. hazel80 Posted January 6, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Hi, thanks for reply, but we do not need all inclusive, we just would like a nice beach, where we can swim and snooze, may only be there for a few hours. But thank you and will make a note of Nachi Cocom for the future.
Rare crewsweeper Posted January 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Then head south to Playa Palancar. It's a $25 each way taxi ride, but no admission and the service, food and drinks are good and the latter two reasonably priced. Palapas available for shade. JohninDC Posted January 6, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2016 You might consider the Money Bar - no real beach as the focus is on snorkeling from the shore, but they do offer a sandy area with loungers for sunning/relaxing, nice views, good facilities, no admission fee, plus good food/drinks/service. Taxi each way should be about $10+tip. http://moneybarbeachclub.com/
ABQrobin Posted January 6, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Yeah, Money Bar might be your best bet. It is rustic but really close to ships, good food, good waiters, and a beach area. You do need to buy something in order to use facilities, but it could be just bottled water if you want. my photo of beach area: the same area, different direction: large palapa restaurant, eat under cover on at beach table: food menu:

Quiet, never been crowded during the 9 times I've been there. Good food and drinks and friendly staff.
h-sar Posted January 7, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 7, 2016 We were there last week and went to Mr. Sanchos. $10 per person return, no entry charge on a la carte side as long as you buy a bit of food or drinks. Check them out on trip advisor. It was an excellent, relaxing beach day for us and our teens. If you go to the far left side of the a la carte side, super quiet.
