The first time

I fondly remember my first cruise. I really had no idea what was the plan, what was going to happen, it was take it as it comes, a new adventure. No internet, no way to find out every little nuance about the week or more ahead.

Now, everyone wants to know every little thing about what's will happen, what the menu everyday will be, what what what. In my humble opinion, not knowing every little thing made the adventure much more exciting. A lot more fun that way.

Thats why I never look at the next days menu's when they are posted outside DR.

After 54 Princess cruises and countless others I still have no problem getting excited even though I am on CC reading everything too. ;)

True, there was magic in all the discovery! I also never learned my way around until the end of the cruise! I do love studying the deck plans ahead of time...at least I'm not constantly at the plaque map on the wall! :p

I'm in the "middle" pack of cruises...more than 7 taken....Our next cruise is in March with a repeat itinerary. I'm going to try to be in the newbie frame of mind... So, for me, it means not comparing this to that. I'm reading up on things like tips, features, etc, but I'm going to trick my mind with going with "this is a first time cruiser" attitude. I'm kidding myself to think that I'll be able to totally pull this off, but I'm going to give it one darn good try. Regardless, it will still be a fun cruise.
