So, what do you usually use your OBC for?

We don't really cruise any different with OBC or without. The more OBC the lower our S&S at the end of the cruise.. We always do the steakhouse at least one night. Usually purchase alcohol from the fun shop and of course I have to play bingo at least once. Between drinks at dinner and show and the time I spend in the casino that OBC always goes away quickly.

Don't understand how one can say that they use their OBC for any particular thing.

It's not like when you make an on board purchase, you have the option of designating where that amount comes from. It's just charged to your account.

If you have an OBC credit, that charge reduces that credit. And on and on until OBC is used up. Then the S&S balance due starts increasing.

I had to put my wine glass down to type: bar tab.:D

Really though, like Springs741, we don't cruise any differently with OBC than without. Our S&S bill is almost always larger than our cruise fare, so OBC just means a slightly smaller S&S balance. We drink, buy some souvenirs for family and DH's employees at the Funshops, eat at the Steakhouse, buy an internet package, donate to St. Jude and get the shirts, increase our autogratuities, sometimes buy a couple photos, and have bought (once each) Cheers!, Behind the Fun Tour, Wine Tasting, and other occasional extras.

You spoil sport! Here, all this time I was thinking I was getting free drinks. And now it I find out it went for that excursion where I rode in a crowded, hot stinking bus ride for 2 hours to see the Mayan ruins. Thanks a lot.

Used it for souvenirs, a couple mugs, Red Frog Pub food, Cherry on Top treats, and withdrew the remainder via the casino :D. Basically spent nothing out of pocket on my cruise thanks to the OBC and then had extra money at the end!

I mentally calculate my OBC for tips for this next cruise. Last cruise we had over $1000 between what the travel agent gave and our fare going down. So that went towards tips, & photos automatically mentally calculated into what I was going to use my S&s card on. The rest was well the bar lol
