Tipping... room service & excursions

Im aware that a base tipping is now added daily,.and drinks and spa treatments are factored in at time of service. I'm wondering how are tips handled for room service? Should we tip at drop off, at the end and what is a fair amount?

 

Then in excursions do you tip by service quality, by trip value, by person, or a flat fee? What do you normally give?

 

How do you tip at bag drop off?per bag, per person, a flat rate.

Room service - tip when tray is delivered. Usually $1 per item up to $5 for a full meal.

 

Excursions - depends on what/if anything the guide or driver did above the expected norm for their job. Typically $5 for 1/2 day tour; $10 for a full day tour.

$1-5, depending on how much you order! The more they have to carry, the bigger the tip. Coffee...$1....full dinner, $5

WE give room service their tip when they deliver. If we have left our cabin we leave a thank you note with the tip.

We tip the tour leader at the end of the tour, usually $5 or $10.

When dropping off our bags to the porter we give at least $1 per bag but sometimes more than one porter handles your bags so we give to the 1st to take our bags.

 

We have also given an additional tip to our steward, waiter or bar waiter for really good service. We always leave the automatic tips in place.
