Then it was our turn. The P&O ship gave us a great send off. I was really impressed. Look at all the people on the top deck and on the balconies waving us goodbye. And singing too!

Really enjoyed the video of the P&O. I watched twice but could not make out the song they were singing. Do you remember what it was?

:D

I watched the video again and can say that I do not remember that particular song, but what made me tape it was that they we doing lots of different songs and their DJ was amazing! He had everyone enthralled. They did songs like "Nah, nah, nah, nah, hey, hey, hey, goodbye" and "God Save the Queen" and a bunch of other songs. Almost everyone on board was participating. They handed out British flags to all of their passengers. It was one of the highlights of our cruise.

I heard that this is something they do on the last port sailaway of each of their cruises. It just happened to coincide with our last port sailaway, which made it even more special.

My husband was doing a German chant back and forth with a bunch of passengers. I wish I had that on video!

I am a really good whistler, and I was in a duel with a P&O passenger as well. It was a lot of fun. We were waving goodbye until we were too far away to be seen and heard.

Thanks you for your great review. Your family is wonderful!

What a great video, I have never seen anything like it, just awesome.

Thanks Again

Thank you! I agree. It was one of the more memorable moments of the cruise.

More review to come!

So away we went. The view was spectacular.

I was trying to get a good picture of the birds. I don't know what kind of birds they are but the tails were really interesting. They kept circling like they were trying to let me get a good picture of them.

Looking down you can see the thrusters churning up the sand and silt. It was pretty beautiful in a strange way.

The pilot boat pulling away after picking up the pilot. We were now back under the control of Captain Hakan Svedung.

Tonight we decided to go back to Cagney's. This time we would eat inside.

The menu

Cagney's butter. Yes, it was THAT good. I can't explain why, it just was. Maybe because it was whipped, light and airy. Easy to spread.

My silly kiddo, getting a bit tired of all the pictures.

Dippers for the bread. Yum.

Lump Crab Salad. Not as good as I thought it would be. It reminded me of tuna salad. Same texture.

Mexican Caesar Salad. Mike and Melissa both loved it

Wedge Salad. I really liked it..

Truffle chicken. Delicious, juicy, perfectly cooked. You could taste the truffles but they were not overpowering.

Whole cold water lobster. So disappointing. It was totally mushy. Not at all what I was expecting from the "Cagney's Experience".

Lobster Tail and Shrimp. This was Melissa's. She said it was good, but not as good as the first time she had it earlier in the cruise. She that that maybe it had to do with how long the lobsters were kept in a tank before cooking them. Smart kid.

Steamed Broccoli. Good, not great.

Baked Idaho Potato and Grilled Beet Root with Roasted Shallots. Again, good but not great.

On a whole, this Cagney's experience was OK, not great. If we didn't have the dining package we would have been disappointed.

We took Melissa to Splash Academy for "Mission Impossible Spy Night". She loved it as usual.

When we picked her up and went back to the room, we found this little dude

And that is the end of our port days. Happily, we still have 3 more sea days left.
