Breakaway 14 Day Southern Caribbean Review with lots of pictures (and the Haven)

I am going on breakway this weekend, what is the best way to buy photo? Buy offers now or onboard?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

I did it onboard. I was going to buy in advance, but then I was thinking that maybe I wouldn't find enough pictures for the packages they offered. Clearly that didn't happen.

The ships photographers are everywhere! Take advantage of it. Then pick only the ones you like.

Have a fantastic cruise!

Did you buy the photo package deal they offer? I don't know if they offer it on the Breakaway like they do the Spirit but I would imagine so.

They do offer the packages on Breakaway as well. I did buy the 50 photo package.

This has been a wonderful time reading your review. It seems like you had a great time and formed a great friendship with the friends you met on board.

AND the casino treated you very well I must say. Now please do tell what machine and value of such were you playing...

Thanks for the review and all the time you spent doing it.

Thank you. I really enjoyed writing the review and we are still in touch with the people we met. We are going to a birthday party for one of the little girls in 2 weeks. 😁

I usually stuck with the Quick Hits machines. The regular ones, not Platinum, not Black and White.

There was also a machine in the hallway area between the casino and O'Sheehan's. If you were leaving the casino heading towards O'Sheehan's, it was on the right side of the hallway. There were 2 machines and it was the one against the wall. Across the hallway were 2 more machines and next to them are the Wheel of Fortune machines. My husband hit on the WOF machines that were number 2, 3, and 5 counting in from the hall.

After I picked Melissa up from the Splash Academy pajama party, we went back to our room for the last sleep. So sad that it was almost over, but ready to go home. We really missed our dog.

We woke up kind of early. I had left the curtains open in the bathroom so that maybe I would be able to see the Bridge in the morning. The captain had said that we should be passing it around 5:15am. I slept through that, but when I finally did open my eyes I saw the beautiful lights of NYC. It was bittersweet.

Especially when I opened the balcony doors. Holy cold! Yep. We're baaack.

6:50am

We took one last look around. This is the crew only area in the Haven that had the "Secret" elevators that they would shuttle us down past the crowds. There were 4 elevators. Notice the red carpets. Those were for us, they were not there regularly.

I've read of people complaining that the Vibe deck and the sun decks were not accessible if you were mobility impaired. I have found that to not be true. Here's proof.

This is the stair lift for people that have difficulty walking stairs. Right behind it is the wheelchair lift. You can see the little door for it.

We never did get to go there, but the day after Melissa got hurt, Melissa was sent a Carlo's Bake Ship tiramisu with a card saying that they hope she is ok. It was a really nice gesture and delicious!

Maltings had a coffee and tea station set up.

We really were back in New York and it was a big difference from the Caribbean waters.

Once we got off the ship, we called Groundlink and let them know we were off and by the time we got through Customs, a matter of minutes with a porter, the driver was waiting for us. So quick and convenient. We were home within 30 minutes of getting off the ship.

We got in our house, unpacked a few things, and started the first load of laundry. Then Melissa and I got in the car and went to pick up our dog from our friends house. His 2 week vacation at the beach was over too. He was so happy to see us.

The MotionEaze worked its magic on him again! Look how happy he is.

Thank you all for following along on our journey.

Just to make the ending of this review more special, today is exactly 3 months since my last chemo treatment. I feel absolutely wonderful! I don't have to take anymore medicine. It's all done. Finito.

The End. :D

Thanks so much. I really enjoyed sharing.

And if I can help anyone going through what I did, I'm happy.

Now, the next question is....when should we cruise again?

Since I currently have nothing planned, I'd suggest cruising again as soon as possible so that I may continue to cruise vicariously through you! :p
