uirie Posted January 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2016 About to go on the Glory. I have heard that the waitstaff only dances and sings on formal nights and the last evening of the cruise. Tell me please this is false. It's my favorite part of the cruise!
mississauga Posted January 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Not true. They still sing and/or dance. They don't on the first night and maybe one other night but most nights still do.
bplazo Posted January 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2016 They should stop all that singing and dancing.

Cruise-Crazy Posted January 20, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2016 They should stop all that singing and dancing. Or at least limit it to one night.
vwrestler171 Posted January 20, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2016 They still do it, just depends on when. We had ATD on the last cruise and missed it most nights.
Cruise-Crazy Posted January 20, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 20, 2016 It usually happens just as I am waiting for my food. LOL

SkyMaster Posted January 20, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Just off "Valor", and we were ALL singing and dancing in the dining room most nights. GREAT FUN, and a small break for the wait staff. ;) "SKY"
PAPERBKWRITER Posted January 20, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 20, 2016 I'm not a big fan of the dancing BUT since so many enjoy it, what's 5 minutes out of my day.
Micahs Grandad Posted January 20, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 20, 2016 I'm not a big fan of the dancing BUT since so many enjoy it, what's 5 minutes out of my day. The problem is they can barely keep up with serving and than it all comes to a stop. Better if they could limit it to say 3 days out of a 7 day cruise. The wait staff on the Glory had no problem keeping up with the serving, we never waited for anything not did anyone around us.

marshhawk Posted January 20, 2016 #18 Share Posted January 20, 2016 When the moon hits your eye, I was waiting for pie, that's amore. Yup, still dancing last week on the Elation.
Swampbabe Posted January 20, 2016 #19 Share Posted January 20, 2016 I find the dancing to be mildly annoying but whatever. One thing though, stay in your seat to watch. We were on the Breeze in June and when the dancing started a woman got up from her seat to film the spectacle and had her armpit in my husband's face for five minutes. We didn't want to cause a scene but......Have some sense, please.
lylone Posted January 20, 2016 #20 Share Posted January 20, 2016 We were on the Glory on 11/14 and there was singing and dancing the nights we ate in the MDR. We actually had to wait one night to put in our dessert orders because the waiters were about to dance. The service was really slow the 3 nights we were in the MDR. We opted to eat the buffet after having two nights in a row where our meal took over an hour and the majority of the time we were waiting to order or waiting for food. Lots of waiting and waiting...:(
firemanbobswife Posted January 20, 2016 #21 Share Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) You want them to dance every night? Not happening. It was 3 nights last month on the Glory and the other 5 times I was on her in the past 2 and a half years and that was fine. I enjoy it but if you want "Dinner and dancing" all the time, eat and go watch a show. Edited January 20, 2016 by firemanbobswife
golfb4cruzing Posted January 20, 2016 #22 Share Posted January 20, 2016 They should stop all that singing and dancing. Our waiter really didn't like it. It puts them behind and I don't like cold food.
cruzeluver Posted January 20, 2016 #23 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Never been a fan. Poorly recorded music piped through a poor quality sound system. Same bad songs year after year after year. And it interrupts dinner service.
summersigh Posted January 20, 2016 #24 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Not true. They still sing and/or dance. They don't on the first night and maybe one other night but most nights still do. It was the same on the sunshine last week
