Carnival Transfers FLL to Port Everglades

We are flying in the same day that we sail, so we thought it might be a good idea to book the Carnival transfers in case there are any flight delays. But I was wondering, how early do the Carnival bus transfers begin to depart from FLL to the port? I have read that you might have to sit a long time on the bus waiting for it to fill up. What have been people's experiences with the Carnival transfers out of FLL? I know cabs are cheaper, but this sounded easier when booking. Does Carnival allow you to cancel the transfer on your reservation prior to departure?

Thanks.

A cab is much easier.

Get a cab! Way cheaper, I think a flat rate of $24.

Less than that. They are on a meter. I have had a low of $13 and a high of $18 before tip. The difference is in how long a delay there might be at the entrance (you have to show ID) or how distant your ship is from the entrance.
