colonialinnkeeper Posted January 29, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2016 The crazy small size of coffee cups on the Lido is why we bring our own thermal mugs when we cruise
dakrewser Posted January 29, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2016 I always go to the "dollar" store before a cruise and pick up inexpensive large size thermal mugs ($2 each last time). They save multiple trips to the coffee machine, we toss them when we leave giving some extra space in the luggage for doodads and trinkets, er, mementos. I take my thermal cup from home and stuff it will little things that are going in the luggage anyway, that way I can bring it back. :)
RuthC Posted January 29, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2016 The Nieuw Amsterdam has very large mugs at the place settings on the table; someone will pour coffee for you. I don't recall what the mugs at the coffee machines are like, as I bring my own HAL thermal mug with me. I pack a few little things in it going to the cruise. Coming home, it works great as an extra layer of padding for some small, breakable things (like Pinnacle truffles. ;)

That leaves them a bit too "wet" to stick in the carry-on...
