VX vs. V3

Looking at various websites, the VX is showing a larger balcony vs. a V3, yet the pictures of the VX makes the room look bigger. The distance between the foot of the bed and the wall is a larger area (VX). Is this true or are you just paying extra for the bigger balcony?

Stateroom is the same size. You're paying for the bigger balcony and the location on the ship. Some of us really like to be on the stern. Less wind on the balcony. Beautiful sailaway views. Little or no traffic in the passageway outside your room. Comfortable dining on the balcony because of the additional space.

VX verandas facing forward will have more wind while the ship is moving. Always have been in VX verandas on the stern so can't speak with experience about ones facing forward.

Deck Plans (all cruise lines, not just Azamara) should all have a warning: not to scale! It's very hard to compare cabins -- especially from one deck to another, but sometimes even closer. We just almost upgraded from an S2 to an S1 on Celebrity Constellation because the S1 seemed to have a larger balcony, but the wise folks here on CC were able to verify that they are exactly the same.

I also saw the pictures you mentioned but after some research it looks like these are actually old pictures of the Continental Suites. Not sure why some sites show these as VX. Maybe an old error that was just copied by others.
