Disembarkation in Syd

Don't forget to factor in the current road closures. Maybe check the RMS website before you head into the city

The Circular Quay end of George Street (at least from Bridge St) is free of any road closures so coming off the bridge or Cahill Expressway to get to the OPT is not a problem and if coming from the west over Darling Harbour and along Sussex St and Barrangaroo is the way to go.

When embarking or disembarking at the OPT our SIL usually deposits us at the Mosman Bay Ferry Terminal on the North Shore. We then get the ferry over to Circular Quay (No. 6 route).

Ferries run every 30 mins from No 2 Jetty at the Quay and the trip takes 20 mins.

Under cover seating and toilets are available in the waiting area.

When picking up your passengers, you may be lucky enough to snag a parking spot at the Mosman wharf, other than that wait in a side street near the wharf for a phone call from your passengers when they get off the ferry.

They may also need an Opal card for the ferry but they will also need one for the train, although I think paper tickets are still available for use on the day.

This saves the trouble of having to drive and park in the CBD with all the problems and shemozzle at the pick up area at the OPT.

We live in Newcastle and usually allow at least two hours travelling time.

Everyone should be off the ship by 9.00am.

Thanks for that.

We're off to the bug smoke in Thurs (nit to the Opt just work) and I was wondering about the current situation.
