Taxi from Miami to Princess pier

Does anybody have the cost of a taxi from Miami airport to the pier. Three ladies that do not want to drive.They arrive about 1pm in Miami. Is it better to taxi or take the Princess shuttle.

Taxi from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale will cost approx. $60.

$18.00 to where Chris? Taxi from MIA to Port of MIA is $18.00. Princess port is Port Everglades, in Ft. Lauderdale.

Has anyone used Tri-Rail from Miami airport to FLL airport - I just looked at this recently and it looked like the way to go but haven't heard of anyone using it:

It looks like the cost is only $3 - $4 each way and it runs very frequently.

Logistics. You're going to have to get from the airport to the station. Then you have to get your luggage on to the platform. Some rail stations in Miami are "elevated." Don't know which station you're headed to, but you might have to climb two flights of stairs with your heavy bags. Don't ever count on an escalator/elevator being in working order. Then you get to Ft. Lauderdale and now have to get some sort of transportation to the port. All this time you're sort of saving $$$ and shlepping your luggage by yourself.

arlenemilt, your exactly right, no way I would go through all that hassle. As Bostongal said above, go with Miami Shuttle.
