Quilting_Cruiser Posted February 14, 2016 #27 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I meant no offense in this poll. I am just trying to find out the male to female ratio of who handles most bookings and if the commercial is targeting the right consumers. It's marketing, plain and simple. That isn't their only commercial (and that one's not even a commercial, is it?) and they would target it accordingly. As someone else said, it looks like it's more targeted to an age group than a gender. If they're going for a young clientele, then that's one way to do it. I doubt they'd be playing a commercial with that content during a television show that is targeted toward middle-aged females. It's all about placement. :)
Jerseygirl1416 Posted February 14, 2016 #28 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I live in a household with 4 males and myself, female, unless you count my dog and then there's 2 females. I do all the planning, researching, booking.... Once I've booked I ask for opinions from the husband and our three sons.😀
triptolemus Posted February 14, 2016 #29 Share Posted February 14, 2016 my ex-husband would have wanted to take an annual RV trip. Wasn't ever going to happen. Explains why you're divorced... :p
RUDIMAY1 Posted February 14, 2016 #30 Share Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) I(male) am the cruise director. I booked before the video and before Pitbull was the godfather. I have not seen the video yet. And I could care less who the godmother or godfather is, I think on one of my ships it was shrek's wife. so stupid. by the way I am older than 60 and like Pitbull. I then relay all the info to dh. if he were to do it and not me, we would be spending more $$$ than necessary. I am female. hawk1972 Posted February 14, 2016 #35 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I (husband ) do all the travel planning for my wife and me and I'm the only one of us on CC. It started when I planned our first cruise to Alaska for our 35th anniversary.
Angelo_R Posted February 14, 2016 #36 Share Posted February 14, 2016 My DW tells me dates or locations she would like to go, and I find the itinerary and watch for deals, then do the booking.
xriva Posted February 14, 2016 #37 Share Posted February 14, 2016 My wife does all the booking. Our PCC is ahead of me on her speed dial list. I am allowed to provide input for excursions, and I am allowed to pay, so I do have a role.

Taylor95 Posted February 14, 2016 #39 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I, female, do all of the research, booking & planning details. Usually a few weeks before we leave, DH asks where we are going. I enjoy doing it, but do wish sometimes that my family was more interested & excited about vacation as me.

MrsZillaSmith Posted February 14, 2016 #41 Share Posted February 14, 2016 My husband and I look at options, then once we narrow it down, he researches, watches prices etc and we make a decision. He does most of the planning and organizing for which I am grateful! Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
seaweeyin Posted February 14, 2016 #42 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I (female) do every last bit of vacation...everything. The video is a typical Putbull video. It doesn't bother me that it's used as a promotional video for NCL. If young guys are booking cruises based on the assumption that it will be overrun with beautiful, string-bikini clad women, well, a fool and his money are soon parted. jaja Posted February 14, 2016 #43 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I (female) book all cruises, do all the research and plan all activities. Yes, I consult with my DH and he just says..."good...do it.".;)
elliotterae Posted February 14, 2016 #44 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I plan all our family's vacations. Dats, location, package, travel arrangements. I'll ask for my husband opinion at times, he could rarely care less and has realized that my constant research gets us good deals and great trips. If I left it to him we would never go anywhere. Not that he don't want to go, but he would never actually plan it.
hpecorari Posted February 14, 2016 #45 Share Posted February 14, 2016 If I didn't, my ex-husband would have wanted to take an annual RV trip. Wasn't ever going to happen. OMG - some of the best vacations we've had were in our RV. We've been all over the United States except for Hawaii… And if they would build a road so we could drive there we would have gone there also! The United States is a beautiful place to see and visit. Our best time was leaving Philadelphia going all through Canada and driving through Alaska putting the RV on a ferry through the inside passage to come back to Canada it was in almost 2 1/2 month trip with my then three-month-old two-year-old and four-year-old. I know this is off-topic but seeing the Grand Canyon, White Sands, Niagara Falls driving through California to see in the redwoods and every state in between was just fantastic.
