making first stop in coco cay in november (other cruises have had to bypass it). since it is a "private" island and tendered, i think i read, does the casino stay open while at coco cay? Seems like i recently saw a compass that listed casino hours during the day while anchored at Coco Cay.

It has been my experience that this is up to the casino manager. Last year we has the casino open from 12 noon (tables and slots) and on another voyage the slots were open from 12 noon and the tables opened at 3. A casino manager told us that if he could get enough guests in the casino to be worth it he would have the casino open when at the private islands. I am not a beach person so I am at the tables whenever they open during the private island times. Katherine

Does this vary by ship? In recent years I have only done Quantum, Anthem and Grandeur trips to the private islands. My memory tells me that this is the case but I certainly know it can be flawed at times! Katherine

Every time I've been there it's just like a sea day. Casino and shops are open.
