Taxi tours

We are looking to go to the butterfly farm and Marigot from Anthem OTS. Is it possible to get a cab to take 7 of us and stay with us for about 4 hours? If so, what would this cost? I am trying to compare this to taking the ship tour (which I never do) which costs $45 each. That includes the entrance to the farm which is $15 pp, total for the tour $315. Admission to farm on our own $105 so basically we would need to get it for less than $200. Ant thoughts?

It's easy at the places you have chosen to visit to just go by regular taxis. The butterfly farm is by a Orient which means taxis are nearby and they can call you one from the butterfly farm and there are taxis at the ferry terminal which is centrally located in Marigot. I think it would cost roughly $50-$55 for each of the 3 legs of your trip. It's easy and you have more control over how long you stay at each stop compared to the ships tour.

Thanks for your reply. I do think that that is the way we will go. With tips it will probably not be much cheaper, but we will have the freedom to set our own time frame.

I do think the key is what you mentioned.

 

You can do this as you like spending more or less time and to me that is a big advantage.
