FCO Terminal

I understand that if you are flying out of FCO on a US airline, you have to first go to Terminal 5, then take the bus to your departure terminal. But if you are flying on Air Alitalia, you go directly to their terminal. In our case, our flight is booked round trip through Delta, but our flight from FCO to JFK is on an Air Alitalia plane. So, which terminal do we go to?

The key is who is operating the flight, regardless of who ticketed it. If your flight is operated by AlItalia you'll depart from Terminal 3.
