AdelieGentoo Posted February 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2016 We are going on our first cruise, a repositioning in April followed by a Baltic cruise in May. We've never been to that part of the world (Scandinavia and Baltics) before and don't know what to expect weather-wise. When we think of cruises, we think of hot-weather resort-wear - short sleeves, capris or Bermudas, sandals, and so on. But that might not be warm enough for Helsinki and Stockholm and St. Petersburg in May. So... cool-weather clothes for the Atlantic crossing and the Baltics, and warm-weather clothes for Spain and Portugal? Helllp!
orchestrapal Posted February 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Leave all your California clothes at home. You will need sweaters , long pants, jackets and a raincoat and umbrella. There is a reason why most cruises to that part of Northern Europe do not start until well into June.
awhfy Posted February 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2016 I'd bring layers, that are easy to put on & take off. It may be cool, but warm during the days. Good comfortable walking shoes. Enjoy your first cruise!
