The Baltics in May

We are going on our first cruise, a repositioning in April followed by a Baltic cruise in May. We've never been to that part of the world (Scandinavia and Baltics) before and don't know what to expect weather-wise. When we think of cruises, we think of hot-weather resort-wear - short sleeves, capris or Bermudas, sandals, and so on. But that might not be warm enough for Helsinki and Stockholm and St. Petersburg in May. So... cool-weather clothes for the Atlantic crossing and the Baltics, and warm-weather clothes for Spain and Portugal? Helllp!
