Can anyone tell me if it is required of men to wear a blazer on formal night? Would a dress shirt and dark pants be OK? Since it is only a 3 day cruise none of the guys want to bring a suit/blazer. We will be dining in mytime dining room. Thanks

Here is what the cruise line suggests:

However, the cruise line does not enforce dress suggestions, so you can wear whatever you want.

Pretty much anything goes. I have seen everything from a tux....to beer can shorts/wife beater t-shirts. (Ummm...yuck!!)

DH loves to wear his tux, but for short cruises (as coming up this Monday) I suggested he just pack a sport coat, if he insists on at even that, but he would be perfectly fine with long sleeve dress shirt (optional tie) and dress slacks. The short cruises are much less formal.

Never seems to be required any longer....just "suggested" formal.

Do not worry about formal night, only if you have a personal reason to DRESS. Short cruises are well weekend getaways, so just look a little nicer on Formal night. You will see every style GREAT, OK, Modern and yes UGLY. LOL
