I don't think you will have any problems. We walked off the Royal Princess two weeks ago at 6:30, got a taxi to FLL and made an 8:30 am Delta flight with plenty of time.

...and I think that the Royal was 1.5 hours late getting in yesterday, so you would likely have missed your flight.

I did see that the Royal was late (7:05 in the channel) yesterday. I think an 8:30 flight was still probable with a 7:30 walk off.

As always you have to have a backup plan that your comfortable with.

Actually there were six ships in FLL that morning. The Royal, the Emerald, the Coral, a Holland America ship, a Costa ship, and a Royal Caribbean ship

We were in the 8:15 group and were off the ship by 8:10, through customs within 15 minutes (wife is handicapped so line was shorter), and in our car driving out of the terminal by 8:35.

For comparison purposes, we were on the Emerald on Feb 15 and our disembarkation was a disaster. We only had one gangway open, and were way behind schedule. Disembarkation didn't even start until around 8...we were in the 9:45 group and didn't get off until nearly 11....same day, same port, completely different experience.....
