She is due for some touch up painting again!

She looks ready to go, except for a few touch ups in her paint. I think she looks beautiful and I can't wait to sail on her. She has a really different back end compared to all the other HAL ships.

 

I do not know if you are refering to the eye catching"Ducktale", this obvious new feature, compared to the Vista and Signature class ships is this new “Ducktale” on the Pinnacle class ships, of which Koningsdam is the first.

 

The Ducktale is a platform at the back of the ship that enlarges the ship at the waterline. The larger waterline creates a more favorable wave pattern, thus reducing the drag (resistance), aiding in a more (cost) efficient propulsion.

 

Not something that is my ready and available knowledge, but something I found in Dutch maritime technology on the web. :D
