19feller Posted February 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2016 We are sailing in July and have a 4 hour exercusion booked. We are planning on spending some time walking sightseeing and possibly shopping upon our return to the port. Any suggestions for us would be appreciated. Rare Keith1010 Posted February 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2016 Within walking distance of the port are a bunch of shops and restaurants. So you'll have time to look around. Keith

OCruisers Posted February 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2016 The port terminal area in St. Kitts is actually much nicer than you might expect. :)

I just wanted to thank you for sharing the pictures, since it helps add to my excitement. Also, I remember one time after I did my tour in the morning, we wandered around in port and found this cute bar/restaurant on the second floor but overlooking the main area of town and it was so fun just sitting back with a drink, picked up a few apps and then watched people from up top. I can't remember the name of the place, but it's right on the corner and will usually attract many cruise ship passengers so should be easy to find. Enjoy! mosaic_mom Posted March 9, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 9, 2016 Does anyone know if there is any little area of beach right at the port ? All I remember is rock and cement walls there. Looking for a little piece of beach to write something in the sand and take a photo. St. Kitts was my daughter's favorite island before she passed away. paul58 Posted March 9, 2016 #9 Share Posted March 9, 2016 you might find some sand along the Bay Road to the left of the port area. It would be past the ferry terminal area.

Jlovesthesea Posted March 17, 2016 #13 Share Posted March 17, 2016 Thank you for sharing the photos. I will be in St Kitts in a couple of weeks. Trying to decide on what to do... There is lots to do on the island. Really depends on what you are interested in. You may plan a tour around the island, shop at local shops, visit Nevis by taking the ferry, have a bite at a restaurant....local events take place too, so if you keep your eyes and ears open you'll be able to find something. There is also an app "Experience St. Kitts and Nevis" that I have found helpful. It has a what to do tab. Ill leave the downloadable links. http://j.mp/1QY9fxS link for apple download http://j.mp/1QY9nxu link for chrome download
