esdoorn Posted February 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2016 Looking for the best transportation options for our upcoming trip. We will be: 1) flying into Ft. Lauderdale and getting in at 10pm on a Saturday night; 2) Staying at the Best Western Airport hotel that Saturday night as it is cheap; 3) Need transportation from the above to the Holiday Inn Port of Miami; 4) Staying over the Sunday night at the Holiday Inn; 5) Taking a cab to the POM for our cruise on Monday morning; 6) The follow Saturday we need transportation from POM to the Ft. Lauderdale Hilton Beach Resort I am not sure if SAS Transportation would do this type of trip, certainly their reservation form isn't set up for this type of trip and hard to understand and they don't take phone reservations. So is our only choice a cab from Ft. Lauderdale hotel to Miami Hotel and a cab from POM when we get back to Ft. Lauderdale Hilton? Thanks in advance for any assistance as we have never cruised before and never done a flight into Ft. Lauderdale and had a need to get to Miami. . S.S.Oceanlover Posted February 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2016 with all that moving around I'd definitely rent a car. Much easier than arranging transportation. You could pick the car up at FLL and drop off close to the port. Most Car agencies have free shuttles to the ship from their offices. We just rented a minivan from Budget from FLL and dropped it off at the port office for about $81.00 a day. I don't think SAS runs that late the night you get in. esdoorn Posted February 28, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted February 28, 2016 Problem with a rental car is the drop off time and having to pay for parking at the hotel. Will probably just have to grab a cab.
esdoorn Posted February 28, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted February 28, 2016 SAS Transportation was able to assist us with our transportation needs. Seems like a great company!
KenMo Posted February 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2016 Call Steve as SAS. Not sure about the 10pm arrival, but I'm pretty sure he can do the rest.
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 28, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2016 I would also post this on the Florida Departures Board where this question comes up almost daily. Keith

SMSACE6 Posted February 28, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) You could take the BW shuttle back to the airport next morning and take Go Shuttle from FLL direct to Hol Inn POM. Go Shuttle has a website. I used them last October, and a shared ride shuttle cost 26.00? I think, cant remember but it worked for me. Of course it depends on how many of you. They have private car service as well if you wish. The info is all on their website. SAS always seem to be the better deal, but I have no experience with them. It wont work on the return though, just from FLL airport. Edited February 28, 2016 by SMSACE6
