lv2bcruzin Posted March 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) We've had a GS on the Freedom class and we have a standard GS (not the ones on the back of the ship) on our up coming Oasis cruise. Looking at the descriptions the Oasis GS is slightly bigger. It also looks like there is less closet space for hanging clothes in the shortened bar area. For those of you who have cruised both can you tell me the differences and if in fact there is less space to hang clothes? Thanks in advance! 39august Posted March 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2016 Our GS on Oasis was obviously smaller than GS's on Voyager and Freedom class ships. I don't recall having less closet space however.
lv2bcruzin Posted March 3, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted March 3, 2016 I meant to say we had a GS on the Voyager class (Adventure to be exact). When you say obviously smaller than the Voyager class what makes you say that since the deck plans show the Oasis class GS having more sq. ft. (371 Oasis - 349 Adventure). It does say the GS on the Freedom is 401, so that is obviously bigger. Perhaps that's the comparison you were mentioning.
wolfganghowell Posted March 3, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2016 Haven't been on Adventure but have been on Freedom and Liberty GS. Oasis was a bit smaller but hardly noticeable. Closet was against a different wall so it wasn't as long. Still plenty of room and drawer space. Bathroom seemed identical. Room didn't seem as wide to us. Your description of the Oasis GS seeming more narrow is exactly what I was thinking based on the cabin images. It does seem that there is more depth which is probably is why the bar isn't as wide. 39august Posted March 4, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2016 When I said "obviously smaller" I simply meant you could see the difference from the Voyager and Freedom class GS's we had stayed in previously. Wasn't a big deal, but very much noticeable.
