Rare deladane Posted March 5, 2016 #26 Share Posted March 5, 2016 Any chance you can transfer it to me on my cruise??? :D If not, then I like the money laundering idea of offering to buy people dinner at the steakhouse for a discounted price, then taking their cash and it's a win win for everyone! Rare Hawkstar33 Posted March 5, 2016 #27 Share Posted March 5, 2016 A couple great ideas for sure. But honestly, you can't find a way to spend $300? My lovely wife has it spent and we are not even on the ship yet. LOL

varoo Posted March 5, 2016 #29 Share Posted March 5, 2016 If you are in a suite, don't forget that a very good way to use up that OBC is to invite some poor non-suite passengers to join you for dinner in Luminae. You might even get some volunteers right here. :D

Grandmaanne7 Posted March 5, 2016 #31 Share Posted March 5, 2016 Can I use non refundable onboard credit for the deposit of an onboard booking of a next cruise? Unfortunately, that's not allowed. Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk
bEwAbG Posted March 5, 2016 #32 Share Posted March 5, 2016 (edited) Can I use non refundable onboard credit for the deposit of an onboard booking of a next cruise? They run the deposit as a separate charge and it doesn't appear on your on board account. I can't remember if they can look up the credit card to charge or if you need to have one with you. 2theship Posted March 5, 2016 Author #33 Share Posted March 5, 2016 Last week on the Infinity I got cash from the Casino against my NR OBC for a 5% charge. That's what we had done in the past but I thought I'd read that it was no longer an option. However, on another thread, I read that they will issue you slot credit on your card, as well as the promo chips mentioned above. Thanks for the great suggestions. I had a "Eureka" moment last night when I remembered the cosmetics store. Their prices are the same as the department stores at home but I don't have to pay sales tax. That seems like a good way to use a bit of the OBC.
digital_curator Posted March 5, 2016 #34 Share Posted March 5, 2016 If you plan to upgrade your drink package to premium, you can use OBC towards that.
ChucktownSteve Posted March 5, 2016 #35 Share Posted March 5, 2016 Looks like this thread has jumped the shark. If you re-read the original post from an elite cruiser, they were looking for a way to obtain cash for the OBN since Celebrity changed the cash back policy in the casino. They're well versed in ways to spend it on board since that's what X has evolved into nowadays. Pay for this extra or pay for that extra.
