Hi Newbie and have tried search but is there any way I can find out what actual cabins are available.

You can search on a German site for Azamara but it does not work for Oceania.

Any tips or PM to geoffkendall at hotmail dot com.

THANKS

You could ask your TA to check for you

In the U.S. you can set up a dummy reservation -- in each category it will show available numbers, but no more than 7. So if there are more than 7 available it will only show the first 7. I checked on a cruise a few days ago and the first category I chose only had 3 available.

Don't know if that works outside of the U.S.

P.S. If you want a specific cabin you would have to check with your TA or Oceania as to its availability. It's hard to predict if that particular cabin would come up in this kind of effort.

If you ignore the first 7 cabins and go back to select all, a new series of 7 cabins will be posted, if there are more than 7 available. Some may be repeats of the previous 7. Keep doing this until all 7 listed are repeats. Takes some time but you can get accurate status of all cabins in a category.

For a specific cabin, enter that cabin number in the space provided- you will either get it or be advised not available.

Also be aware of the timing of the search matters.

If you are searching before final payment date the answer will often change dramatically a couple of weeks after that date.

If you are searching, particularly for suites, within the first week after a cruise opens up. Forget about it, just talk with your TA. All kinds of pecking orders occurs on who gets what are often taking place. First come first does not apply! ;)

If you are searching a month or so after final payment due date, your chances of the computer having the correct info is the highest.

I just did a check on our June 7 sailing, yes, after final payment. Checked the B1 category as it is one with a large number of cabins. Still 46 cabins available.

Took about 3 minutes to go through the process.

I am unable to do this from the O website outside of the US (in Asia). It just shows up as Available. No option to purchase either, just a button to Request a Quote and view all fares. I would love to check the availability of suites as well.

I am in Australia and cant get cabin availability unless I manage to open the Oceania US site. Not sure if I can put in a commercial website so I have sent you an email of a site that will show the cabins

good luck - it is difficult over here!
