We are a family of 5 (2A/3K) that will be staying at WDW prior to our cruise. We would like to get to Port Canaveral around 10am on a Friday for our cruise.

Have you used a shuttle or car service that you recommend or have any ideas for us?

Thank you!

I have used MEARS transport from WDW TO port Canaveral for cruises and return after. They offer all different vehicle sizes. Check their website and you can pick the vehicle you want and your pick up and drop off location and it will give you pricing before confirmation. One you want it , you will have to give cc info and you will be charged immediately plus gratuity. It's not cheap but it is an excellent service. They may offer shared shuttles also as they are the official transport company for WDW. We mostly use their premium meet and greet service.

MEARS is the big dog in Orlando and for WDW

MEARS owns and operates the Disney Cruise Line busses and the Magical Express - contracted by Disney

BUT

you could try asking Cocoa Beach side (and smaller) operations like

Cocoa Beach Shuttle http://www.cbshuttle.com/

or

Executive Shuttle http://www.melbourneairporttransport.com/

p.s.

get there at 10 and join the

ME FIRST crowd

we never arrive b4 noon and walk straight on

We have an assigned port arrival time of 10:30 so we figured 10:00 would be safe. Being from California, we may not make it back to Fl for a cruise and since it's a 3 nite only, we want to squeeze every moment out of it that we can.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into all three.

Let us know what you find out! We're doing a pre cruise WDW stay next Jan with our two kids. Planning to stay near Disney but not at one of their resorts. Thinking about renting a car but would prefer a shuttle of some kind of cheaper. Thanks!

Car rentals can be very cheap, and very easy to do and an easy ride, about 45 minutes from Disney. Probably your best bet, for getting there when you want and price, a shuttle time 5 would probably be much more expensive.
