We have booked a "hump" cabin D2 Deck 6 on the Allure and would like to see some pics of the balcony. We have sailed the Allure in a regular balcony cabin Deck 8 but have never seen a pic of or from one of these. The exact cabin will be 7594.

Thanks,

How did you get a lounger? I always see pics with 2 chairs and small table

Welcome to CC and your first post;)

I asked the cabin steward when she introduced herself the first day

She had to ask her boss and day 2 we had one

Thanks for your reply Jonbdg. Scheduled our 1st cruise ever for next Feb on the Allure. We have a cabin on the hump so this post interested me. So they took away the 2 chairs and small table and replaced it with one lounger?

We have the same balcony, and I'm glad to see how deep it is, and would love a lounger. I just wish the loungers weren't so low. I can't ever get back up from them. Too bad they don't have lounger mattress pads for old ladies with bad knees.

While the balcony on those "hump" cabins are deeper than most...they are no wider. A lounger will be in shade most of the time...so if sunning is what you want, it's going to be quite limited. Sunning is best done on the pool or upper decks!

We were in cabin 8640 on the hump, but it was a JS. It had 2 loungers and a table with 2 chairs. Loved that cabin and would definitely book it again. Some days, it was pretty hot on the balcony so there was no shade.

Thanks to all that replied with the great information and pics.

I was hoping to get a lounger instead of a chair because of a bad back problem that limits sitting upright for more than a half hour. Also, being 6'4" that extra footage is nice when not wanting to go up to the pools or solarium. I may contact the special needs department and see about the lounger. If not, I'll make sure I have a $10 bill ready for the cabin attendant.

Here are pics from deck 8 hump on Oasis. Ours had the balcony divider open to the next one.

Can you close the divider? It is not very private? I have booked a large balcony on Harmony and i want a divider.....

Oh, yes. They are all closed when you board and only opened upon request. They probably had friends or family next door and asked the stateroom attendant to open the divider.

The only other time I've seen them open is on occasion the staff opens a group of them to power-wash the glass railing. They warn you though.

Yes, this is the correct answer. We actually had family members in 3 cabins in a row on the hump and asked for the dividers to be open. They are normally closed.
