JohninDC Posted March 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2016 we will be in Miami in a few days for a cruise. Just wondering if anyone has had problems with pickup, at MIA or port of Miami If you use the search function you will find several generally positive reviews from cruisers using Uber in Miami
fireofficer5 Posted March 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) Make sure the u driver knows what you look like and exactly what their car looks like, because, MIA arrival level has six lanes of traffic. Its like three, two lane roads. The drivers not in a Taxi, registered limo, car service, van service etc, will not be able to use the closest lanes to the arrival (baggage claim) doors. Good luck with u. Edited March 16, 2016 by fireofficer5
goneclear Posted March 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2016 What fireofficer said is correct. If you do decide to use uber you should take the elevator up to the departure level and wait outside one of the airline signs that you will pre arrange with your driver. On that level he can come to the closest curb side.
JohninDC Posted March 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2016 Wearing a wild, pink, flowered Hawaiian shirt helps the drivers at Washington National spot me -- at MIA you will just blend in with the crowd.
fireofficer5 Posted March 17, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2016 (edited) Or just do away with all the shucking and jiving that u makes you do and take a taxi for the fiat rate of $27. Edited March 17, 2016 by fireofficer5
