My friend and I are flying out of MIA in the evening after disembarkation so we looked into shore excursions at Miami and want to do this one, but its at 8:00 am, and we probably won't be off the ship by then. Do any of you know if you can buy the excursion and do it at a later time or does it have to be at 8? The guy at carnival we set our cruise up with said we should plan on not being able to get off the ship til 10 or 11.

Does the cruise line offer the excursion? I know on Royal they normally offer an Everglades airboat excursion that ends up at the airport.

Yes they offer it with their shore excursions. That's why I don't understand why its at 8:00am when I doubt they have us disembarked by then! Lol

Our experience is that the folks with ship excursions are given priority leaving the ship. They will likely have a meeting place on the ship and take you off as a group. It's possible that 8am is the time to meet on the ship.

If this is through the ship you have no worries.

You either will go at the scheduled time or if the ship is delayed you will go later. That is one of the advantages of a ships excursion. No worries.
