Due to flight schedules we are spending an extra night in Quebec City. Staying at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Quite excited about that!!

Can anyone help with these questions:[*]Best way to get from the cruise terminal to the hotel? Taxi? Private Car?[*]Best way to get from the hotel to the airport?[*]How is Canadian Customs handled once you arrive in Quebec City?[*]Is there US Immigration at the airport or do we do that in Philadelphia on our way back to the US?

Thanks!!

Hotel to Airport about $35CN

That hotel is about 1/2 mile from pier , up a very steep hill . Could easily walk it (via the Funicular) if it wasn't for your luggage . Cab should be a very short/cheap ride.

CN Customs on the ship , US Customs at destination airport .

If you are connecting to the US thru Montreal or Toronto . There will be pre clearance in those two airports.

Ottawa too (as well as several other Canadian airports less likely to be used by someone on a connecting flight from Quebec City to the US).

Prime Minister Trudeau and President Obama agreed 2 weeks ago to expand US pre-clearance in Canada. The Quebec Airport is one of the new locations to get pre-clearance. So it may depend on when you fly and how soon they implement this.
