Boarding Explorer of the Seas Nov 20th 2016 Sydney-

Does anyone know what is the earliest time of boarding Explorer of the seas for this sailing to South Pacific? Need to book flights.

Think it's a bit early for a definitive answer - usually late morning or early afternoon though you will be given an "official" boarding time based on your deck. As the ship will be at the OPT I would book whatever flights are cheapest and most convenient as you can drop your bags off from about 8 - 9 usually and then have a bit of a look around the Rocks area to fill in some time.

Depending on where you are flying in from, I would consider coming in the night before if you think there is a risk of flight delays or cancellations.

Your boarding time depends upon your deck level. I think the earliest was around 11am from memory for the top decks with the lowest being in mid afternoon.

 

Catch the train from the airport to Circular Quay rather than any other form of transport!

Thanks everyone for the advice. We are most likely to be early but that is great. We're on deck 12 so that will be good.:)

The higher the deck, the earlier the time. However, on my recent Explorer cruise, we weren't given a specific time to check in and board. We were instructed to arrive between 11am and 4pm.

The last time we boarded Voyager at Sydney we were about the 6th group to board and were on board and in the buffet by 11.15

 

Just arrive at the time that your transport suits you and go with the flow
