St Maarten/philisburg -

This was our first time here so we took advice from others and headed to little bay beach, lovely place, great beach & water, the water was quite calm, there was a slight dip walking into the water after about 5 ft but after that it was pretty flat & easy!

Mexico/Cozumel -

We opted for a ship day today but did go for a little walk around the port, to be honest there's nothing to see at the port we stopped at so we were back on the ship within an hour, as I mention previously I'm recovering from knee surgery so didn't want to go too far,

George Town/Grand Cayman -

We did a tour with stingray sailings and it was fantastic, first after meeting at the port we headed off to pick up the catamaran (around 20 mins away) once arrived we got checked onto the boat and after a quick briefing we headed off to the sandbar which was around a 30 mins away sailing through the crystal clear waters of the Cayman Islands,

Once arrived we had a quick briefing and all headed into the lovely clear water, I think this was the clearest water I've ever seen... Simply amazing place with loads of stingrays around for pictures, now there were loads of other boats/people there but there was still plenty of space & Ray's for everyone to have a great time... The water depth ranged from 3ft to around 4.5ft and was quite calm so no problem walking around in it,

After the stingray part of the tour we headed the short distance to a snorkel stop, were we found a wide range of coral & coloured fish to snap,

Then on the 30 min ride back to pick up the bus back to the port it was time to catch a few last sunshine ray's to top off a great day! We are back in grand cayman next March so will most likely do this tour again as we liked the boat/crew & amount of people on the catamaran vs space/area available! 23e7ba71eb11efd51302968277ce8057.jpga261b7762009b949b62e40916b148c02.jpg443e289f233e805c5469ebdc16e0fe21.jpg1c7656677bf2e6298c734385a45d735c.jpg88080db9a80971f78f786ec2e4548403.jpg

Jamaica/Ocho Rios -

For this port we opted for an all inclusive day pass at a resort -Club Hotel Rui, and loved it, the food wasn't great but everything else was great and would Defo head back there for our next trip to Ocho rios!

Bahamas/Coco Cay -

After reading a load of posts about this port being cancelled at the last minute due to adverse weather & sea conditions I must admit we were expecting to have our visit cancelled also as I believe the past 3/4 vista had been changed over to Nassau!

But to our delight we actually arrived there on time to be welcomed by very calm seas and a smooth tender to the island,

Once arrived on the island we headed straight for the other side as we had read/seen good reports about barefoot beach (I believe it's now called south beach) it was lovely & quiet, away from the main drag with the restaurant/bars/loud music & the hoards... But only a short walk to get a drink or food when required,

One of the first things we did after finding some decent loungers for the day was to head out to what looked like a sandbar which went quite far out... We walked following the shallow waters looking for some sea life we thought might be about, we were thinking a few different kinds of fish etc, what we didn't expect was finding 3 stingrays doing what they do out I the shallow waters... Although we had seen as many Ray's as one needs a couple of days ago, the sight of actual wild ones (not encouraged by feeding) was in a way even more exciting... They swam right passed us so that was very exciting!

After that we headed back to the beds to enjoy the weather as it was a lovely sunny hot day,

We had an early lunch and a couple of drinks then headed back for a bit more sun before heading back to the ship around 1.30pm, Julie stayed on the island for a little longer to explore a little and get some pictures... the tender back was good and the seas were still calm so no issue at all!

B2B Switch over Experience -

This was all arranged very well & the whole process was handled well by everyone, firstly we received a message to attend a meeting a couple of days before the end of the first week, lasted about 20 mins but I guess as it was our first time was worth going, I think next year I won't go to the meeting as they give you all the info in a pack as well... The basics were we had to meet at ensemble lounge at 10.15am, collected our new sea pass cards & we waited for customs to confirm they were ready for us, once ready we headed off the ship then down through security and back on the ship before the newbies boarded, very quick & easy,

In Summary -

we loved everything we did... Had eaten... Drank... Saw... Experienced... Loved the ship, loved all the crew we came in contact with (except the lad at the WCB as mentioned earlier) and doing a B2B actually made it feel longer then a standard 14 night cruise so it was all good!

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask anything and I will do my best to answer,

Until the next time... [emoji483][emoji41]

A Bonus Post...

We were invited to a sail away from Cozumel, our only other experience of this was on the eclipse in Norway which was pretty cold so we were both excited about this one in the Caribbean sun [emoji41]
