Port Canaveral approves $1-a-day parking rate increase

I do not know why it is SO important for the Port to make as much money as possible from parking. Why not charge more for their growing freight business instead of passengers?

 

Heck, they should make cruise parking free but who am I to offer advice.

 

Rumor is this will be effective within a month (meaning late April):

 

New Daily cruise parking rates:

 

The first figure is for regular-vehicles. The second figure is for oversized vehicles. Port Canaveral's rates reflect the rate increase approved Wednesday, but not yet in effect.

 

Port Canaveral $16 $28

 

Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) $15 $19

 

Port of Jacksonville $15 $30

 

Port of Miami $20 $40

 

Port of Tampa $15 $30
