marysb Posted March 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2016 I haven't seen many reviews of A-Rosa cruises, just wondering what people think? The ships look great on the outside, and the website looks good.
Rare notamermaid Posted March 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Hello marysb, Globe has written and posted a review: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=48909682#post48909682 The case with Arosa is that, it being a German company and not very prominent (yet) on the North American market, you will find few reviews. From my outside experience - I have not travelled with them yet - I can say this. Arosa is one of the biggest, if not the biggest German operator of river cruises. They more and more attract a younger range of customers and have offered family cruises and themed river cruises for a while. You can be assured of a very good river cruise experience. However, you might not find them on a par with the North-American luxury cruise lines. Excursions on the routes designed for the North-American market or that are marketed to English-speaking customers (those will not be exclusively booked by North Americans for example but be a mixed river cruise with Germans on board) are quite probably very similar to what you get with other river cruise lines. As regards size of ships and max passengers they are comparable with Viking but not in age range, that is higher on Viking. Arosa does not sail the Seine. There are sailings shorter than eight days available. Those, I think, are marketed in Germany, only. notamermaid
