If your requirement also includes requirements of shabby chic class, good food, good drinks, and well away from the cruise herds, then consider Jacqui O's, but if arriving on a Monday (JO Closed) then it has to be Cecelia's

We loved Valley Church...had all the amenities we wanted and on a beautiful beach.

Our favorite beach is Dickenson's Bay at the Coconut Grove. Great beach and food and alcohol is reasonable. It is only about 10 to 15 minutes from the pier and the taxi will come back and pick you up when you tell them. Chair and umbrellas are very reasonable, but there is shade there and we usually don't get an umbrella!
