Question about Suite Debarkation on Allure/Oasis

Recommended Posts

On our cruise From March 26-April 2, we had the most amazing concierge, Claudine! She could not do enough for her guests and her memory was razor sharp! WOW! Regarding the suite departure with the concierges, we were given another paper insert in our Cruise Compass re: departure outlining this option. IT was for a departure either at 7:45 or 8:30 Am. We were asked to phone our suite concierge and let them know how many would be joining them and at what time. I did this immediately as it seemed there may have been the possibility that the numbers might be limited. (Not sure, however). On departure day, we were asked to put our suite departure tags on our luggage and meet 5-10-minutes before the designated time in the Champagne Lounge. On our way, we met many non-suite passengers that tried to tell us to head to the back of the line which snaked around in the promenade and then back up the stairs and snaked around on the next floor. We did make our way to the Champagne Lounge where we were met by the concierges and our name was checked off the list. We waited a couple of minutes and then the concierges and an officer escorted us off the ship, into the terminal (where other guests were told to step to the side so that we could the escalator) and then we were directed to 2 Custom officer lines that were open only to us ( suite guests ). Absolutely no line-ups and a totally painless exit from our stellar week! I did sense a bit of questioning (a.k.a not happy) looks from other non-suites guests whom I am sure had been waiting a very long time. (Btw, we had put out a couple of our suitcases the evening before and we were directed to a suite area in the terminal where our luggage was quickly found. ) Everything proceeded so quickly, it was fantastic. I hope that all Royal Caribbean ships will have this service for suite guests in the future!

Let's hope this is still true for my upcoming 08/28 cruise?????

Surfguy it wasn't that way in March on Allure, but hopefully it will be implemented by the time we sail in August. We are in a CLS this cruise so there is no Genie to help us this cruise.

Heading out on Oasis next week and will report back in , I am also booked on the President's Cruise on Allure in September and will make sure I print out the "suite" perk of priority disembarkation. Who knows, maybe I will meet Mr. Bayley personally and ask.....:p

Just off the Allure yesterday, May 1st. Suite guests were escorted by the concierges Ana and Dexter. There were 2 times to choose from...7:45 and 8:30. We chose 8:30 to meet in the suite lounge and were escorted to the champagne bar on Deck 5, where we waited a few minutes more. Then we walked off in single file with one concierge in the front and one in the back. There were a few ppl in the regular lines who tried to cut into ours, but we told them that if they didn't have the sticker on their shirt (provided by the concierges in the suite lounge when we met up around 8:30), that they could not follow us. We were directed to our luggage in an area designated for suite guests and pinnacle members and then went to a separate (and much shorter line) for customs. Smoothest disembarkation I ever had. Meanwhile, my friend ,who had a 10:30 departure, waited a very long time, esp for luggage.

We got off Allure on April 24, we were in a CLS. We did not leave our room until 9:45 as we were in no rush. The stateroom attendants did not seem to mind, they were busy cleaning other rooms. All we did was go down to Deck 5 and walk right off. We discovered that we could bypass the regular line for customs with our gold cards after we asked a Royal representative in the terminal. When we got to the baggage area there were only two bags other than ours in the suite section, so we knew that we were one of the last suite passengers to leave. The wait for customs was only three or four minutes. So from the time we left our room until we were curbside was no more than 20 minutes.

It looks like things have changed on Allure since I sailed on her in March. Hopefully no more dreaming need as you read the post below.:)

A question: was the friend of yours also a suite passenger ?

We have a suite and intend to leave as late as possible, so do we need to get prepared for long waiting times (also for luggage) ? Thanks for advising..

Apologies for not clarifying. My friend was not in a suite, so she waited in the long lines with the masses.

I believe someone else here mentioned that they stayed in their suite past 9 and chose not to be escorted by the concierges. When they were ready to leave, they were able to bypass the lines and head straight to their luggage because they were suite guests.

We just got off of the Allure on Sunday 5/8 and we were escorted off of the ship.

There were 2 different times to meet in the suite lounge. They had a continental breakfast set up. We chose the first group as it left at 8:00 and that was the latest time you take your own luggage off.

We were escorted to the Champagne Bar where we waited a few minutes and were then taken straight to customs. We were off the ship and at the airport within an hours time.

Just off the Allure on Sunday in Suite 11330. Loved it!!

......

Greetings, Klove613, a couple of practical questions to you plz.. We are booked in the Aquatheater suite 11730 (similar to yours) on our Allure sailing, so wanted to check with you whether it was comfortable for your family to watch the Aqua shows from your suite. Would you recommend watching the Aqua show from the balcony or go down to the theater for better views ?

Also, is there enough place for having a breakfast or dinner for 4 people on the balcony?

Last, but not least, did you use your Spa access perk and is it valid for sea days or only for port days? Thanks in advance ..
