We are doing our 3rd cruise to Alaska next year. It will be the 1st time we have not done a ships cruise tour. In researching options I came across Alaska Travel. com. I have a quote for what we want to do but with tentative pricing. It looks similar to pricing that I have found on line but includes insurance and taxes. Has anyone had experience with this company.

 

I hope posting this company does not violate cruise critic rules since they specialize in land tours in Alaska.

We too are doing a DIY tour after our June cruise. I got a quote from the same group you did. I had to look it over carefully, they had some strange room arrangements for our group. If there's only 2 of you, might not be a problem. In the end, we rented a car and made our own plans. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

You might also check Anchorage Downtown TourGroup. They work with all vendors and can put an a la carte trip together for you or also have organized tours they can set you up with. Do some comparison shopping. These folks know their stuff.

Thanks for the replies. We'll check out Anchorage Downtown Tour Group. We want to concentrate on Seward this time since we did the interior on our 1st 2 cruises. Probably 2 nights in Anchorage to get over jet lag and because the train to Seward leaves so early, then 2 or 3 nights in Seward.

 

I know can book everything on our own and might do that instead of a package.
